Jesus knows what it is like to be betrayed by a friend. Jesus knows what it is like to be abandoned by those you love. But in the midst of such betrayal and abandonment Jesus still shows us that our capacity to love overcomes such suffering. That capacity to love is freely and eternally available to us all.
