In Lent we have the opportunity to strengthen our ability to pray. We have the chance to immerse ourselves in prayer as we lift our concerns to God. But we also have the opportunity to deepen our ability to listen for God's response, and to listen to the concerns that God has for us. Just as we wish God to act upon our concerns, God desires that we act upon God's concerns for ourselves and for the world.
