Kairos Prison Ministry

The mission of Kairos Prison Ministry is to share the transforming love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ to impact the hearts and lives of incarcerated men, women, and youth, as well as their families, to become loving and productive citizens of their communities.  Fr. Cliff, Denis Serbu, and Donald Niemeyer are active participants in Kairos at CSP-Sacramento (New Folsom).  If you have an interest in participating in this ministry (and there are many ways to participate including serving as a team member, baking cookies, signing up for the prayer wheel, and cutting out hands of love), please contact any one of them.

May 11 through 14, a team will participate in a Kairos Weekend.  Your help is appreciated:

  • If you would like to bake cookies, get a copy of the recipes at the church.  Follow the instructions closely to ensure the safety of the team and the men, and bring them back to the church by Wednesday, May 10th
  • Or join us in making cut-out hands (yours, your kids, your grandkids) and turn them fingers-down, then write messages of love and encouragement on them.  They will be strung around the meeting room during the weekend to remind the 'men in blue' of God's unending love.
  • Most important, pray for the team and for the men for a safe, love-filled weekend!
