If you are a member of St. John’s and would like to be married here, please call the Church Office at 916-786-6911 to schedule an appointment with the priest. Marriage preparation is required—usually four sessions with the priest. If either party has been divorced, there are some additional requirements, all of which must be completed by 30 days before the wedding. There are some set fees for flowers, organist, and wedding consultant.

Our wedding consultant, Chris Rudkosky, will provide guidance and help for both rehearsal and wedding. Her services are required by the parish for all weddings solemnized here. She will definitely help you feel more relaxed about the ceremony.

Weddings at St. John’s are generally reserved for members because of time and space considerations. However, if you do not have a church home and are interested in exploring the possibility of making this your church home, here are the steps outlined by the Rector: Please attend our Sunday services at least three times and introduce yourselves to the Rector as he greets people at the exit after services. This will help you determine if you want to be part of our faith community. Then call for an appointment with the Rector. After meeting with you both, he will determine if he will do the wedding.
