Women's Ministries

The goal of the Women's Ministries is to support the mission statement of our church: "to experience and share the transforming love of Jesus Christ." Our activities focus primarily on two retreats for women during each year. The first is a silent retreat in the Fall, held at St. Columba's in Inverness. The second retreat is a more traditional retreat held the last weekend of January at the Springs of Living Water in Chico. Both retreats allow women to open a space in their busy lives to encourage an encounter with God and a deeper spiritual walk through worship, meditations, prayer, and small group discussions. The retreats are times of building friendships in a safe, accepting community while opening our hearts to the moving of the Holy Spirit. Our retreats are open to all women. Many who attend our retreats are from other churches, denominations, and places.

Women's Retreat

During the year, we have summer Ice Cream Socials, a Christmas Bake Sale, and a Spring Tea to reach out to the entire community of St. John's and beyond.
