The Meaning of Advent
Advent in the Episcopal Church is a season of quiet preparation and hopeful expectation. It marks the beginning of the church year and invites us to slow down, reflect, and make space in our lives for Christ’s coming—both the celebration of Jesus’ birth and the promise of His return. It’s a time of watching, waiting, and renewing our hearts, focusing on hope, peace, joy, and love as we move toward Christmas.
